The IMEI or International Mobile Equipment Identity is assigned to each mobile set, it is 15 digit unique number and identity of a mobile set.
This number can be found at the following places:
- Printed on the box.
- Underneath the battery compartment.
- By pressing star hash zero six hash (*# 06#) on the phone.
You can use IMEI number to check information regarding manufacturer, model type, date and country of approval of your handset. Here is the site where you can get all these information online using IMEI number.
